A good friend of mine is a relentless social justice advocate. He challenged an infamous cyber-bully website on behalf of thousands of victims, including Aasim Saied the CEO of Akyumen Technologies, and has been sued into near bankruptcy as a result.
After being burdened with over USD$140,000 in legal bills, my friend’s young wife was diagnosed with terminal cancer. He decided to strategically withdraw from the case, and told Saied of the withdrawal. At that time, neither my friend or Aasim Saied had any obligations to each other, they simply shared a common enemy. After advising Aasim Saied of his intentions to withdraw, Saied encouraged my friend to continue the fight, and promised to send a USD$135,000 retainer to my friend’s attorney, to continue the fight. Saied advised my friend on three different occasions that the funds, some or all, had been sent to the law firm.
Every promise Aasim Saied the CEO of Akyumen Technologies made was broken. Furthermore, my friend incurred thousands of dollars in extra expenses, that he would not have authorized, had he known that Aasim Saied was not being honest, and was either (1) lying, (2) Playing a sick joke on my friend or (3) mentally ill, and living in and out of psychosis. DISCLAIMER: The possibility does exist that Aasim Saied is not malicious or dishonest, and that some other unforeseen circumstance caused him to break each and every promise, but no reasonable excuse was offered.I have personally reviews the hundreds on lines of text exchanges between my friend and Aasim Saied, and the evidence at hand suggests that he will promise the world, but deliver only vapor.
