Brisbane Private Hospital Staff Member Stole $3400 cash from sedated patient. 259 Wickham Terrace Brisbane copy

On 8th March 2016, a nurse on Ward D of Brisbane Private Hospital stole $3,400.00 cash from my bag. Queensland Police Report Reference ID: 1997764. Hospital admission UR: 182157 A: 557298

Police Crime Report Affidavit As Follows:

  • On 26th February 2016 I was diagnosed with severe PTSD with “Associative Deficiencies” as a consequence of my wife’s 18 month battle with gastric cancer, which resulted in very little sleep, and great anxiety during her battle with the disease, which required my full-time care. The primary PTSD symptom in my case is that I have problems “filing and recalling” short term memories easily. The memories are there, but I am unable to hold them when distracted. I was ordered by mental health physician to cease work immediately, for at least 6 months, maybe longer “or something will break permanently”.
  • On 28th February 2016 I shattered my collarbone when I fell.
  • On 7th March 2016, my wife and I sold our small 10-year-old car for $3,400.00 cash. This was because a missionary family we support was in urgent financial need, and we would not be needing the vehicle while I was not working.
  • On 8th March 2016, and 8:45 am, caught an Uber Taxi from my home, to Brisbane Private Hospital 259 Wickham Terrace, Brisbane, by way of Bendigo Bank at 247 Adelaide St Brisbane, to bank the cash. The traffic was terrible, so I instructed the driver to go directly to the hospital. I then moved the $3400 from into a small zippered side pocket inside my leather shoulder bag. I was heavily medicated with pain-killers which were exacerbating my concentration problems.
  • At 10am, I was admitted at the front desk, on the ground floor of Brisbane Private Hospital. The admissions clerk offered to store my bag in a secure, keyed locker behind her desk. I accepted but did not declare the presence of the cash, as I had forgotten its presence due to the pain medications and my PTSD symptoms. Foolish yes, I know :(
  • I waited approximately 4 hours until surgery.
  • I awoke after surgery sometime in the mid afternoon. After some time in the recovery room, I was wheeled to a private room, I was the only occupant.
  • The nurse gave me the plastic bag in which my mobile phone and wallet was placed, and sealed, just before surgery.
  • I asked the nurse if it was possible to retrieve my leather shoulder bag from admissions because my mobile was flat, and I needed to call my wife. The charger was in my shoulder bag.
  • When the nurse returned, I told her the charger was in the main zippered section, she was unable to find it, and went through all three zippered sections. She still could not find it and repeated the process, where she found the charger in the main section, under my clean underwear, sock and other items that made it difficult to find.
  • THE NURSE WENT THROUGH ALL 3 SECTIONS, SHE DEFINITELY SAW THE CASH.
  • The nurse did not alert me to the existence of the cash, showed no surprise, and did not warn me that it should be secured.
  • The Brisbane Private Hospital manager who investigated the theft, told me that all staff members who attended to me denied seeing any cash. Even if she did not steal it, the nurse who retrieved my shoulder bag could not have missed the thick wad of fifties when looking for my charger.

CRIMINAL STAFF AT BRISBANE PRIVATE HOSPITAL

I regret trying to do too much at once in my condition (banking and surgery), notwithstanding my foolishness, there is a criminal staff member, likely a nurse, working in Ward D of Brisbane Private Hospital 259 Wickham Terrace, Spring Hill, Brisbane, QLD, Australia
